INSTALLATION GUIDE:
Prepare a wetting solution by adding 8 drops of a mild, non-moisturizing dish detergent (not hand soap) to a 32-oz. spray bottle filled with clean water. Mix well.
Ensure you have enough flat surface space to work on, in a dust-free area. Turn off any fans.
Carefully measure the height and width of the glass surface.
Cut the film to the dimensions, leaving an extra 1 inch around all sides.
Thoroughly clean the glass surface to remove any dust, grime, or grease.
Slowly peel back the liner, thoroughly wetting the static side of the film as you peel.
Thoroughly spray and soak the glass surface and the static side of the film with the water mixture.
Pick up the film by the top corners, keeping it straight and level, and place the wet film onto the wet surface.
Use a squeegee to smooth out the film and press it against the glass, starting from the center and moving outward to push out bubbles and wrinkles.
In one smooth, continuous motion, trim the excess film from the edges using a hard card and a razor knife.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
How to deal with air bubbles? Use a hard plastic squeegee or card to squeegee out air bubbles and water. If needed, uncover the film, spray more water, and squeegee firmly again.
Why does the film fall off after a while? Ensure you've removed the liner, trimmed the edges, and squeegeed out excess water and bubbles. Leave a 1/16" gap around the edges for thermal expansion.
Can I remove the film at a later stage? Yes, the film is removable and reusable. You can peel it off the glass in seconds with no mess.
How to peel off the backing liner? If the liner is hard to see, place a piece of scotch tape on both sides, fold the tape over to create tabs, and use the tabs to separate the two sides.
